I’m excited to share a new product that is coming your way: nail transfers! We’ve teamed up with @sayurinaillacquer who has made a dreamy cream polish that is the perfect base for these new illustrated nail transfers. More details and swatches soon but I just couldn’t keep the secret any longer!
Q:Lovely op shop wins! Can you tell us where so we can hunt out great bargains too?
Yesterday Colin and I went to a couple of charity shops looking for cheap wool for my weaving. We struck gold on the wool front getting a whole basket for super cheap! And I even picked up this ace Golden Book which I HAD to have (for rather obvious reasons), some Snow White trading cards and a Tamagotchi for only $2.00!
Fourth and final weave for this week because as of tomorrow I’ll be back to drawing! Hurrah! This was the most challenging weaving out of the four. The sequinned yarn was a nightmare and the black made it really difficult to see what I was doing. That being said, I think this bearded bad-boy is my favourite.
What I have learned while weaving with black yarn: IT’S REALLY HARD! I’m not sure if it’s because I was weaving at night with only one light or if it actually is because it’s hard to see the threads together, but I kept dropping stitches and doubling up. There was a lot of unpicking with this one. I think it will be nice when it’s done though! 🙏
It’s all finished now. I really loved making this one. This is the third weave I’ve made since Friday’s @madcraftparty class. I don’t think I’ll get up to much drawing this week because I can’t quite concentrate on drawing with this sniffly cold, that’s why the weaving is so perfect. It doesn’t take much concentration and I can still feel creative! This weekend will be full of drawing I’m hoping. 💕
It’s safe to say I’m obsessed with weaving thanks to @sconnieandjam and @edwardandlilly . This is my second attempt and it only took a few hours to do. It’s actually really nice to be doing something creative that doesn’t involve drawing. For some reason the time spent making these weavings is really personal and therapeutic. It’s quite lovely.
